Western United Women’s

Western United is dedicated to growing the presence of women’s football in the west and has taken significant steps to furthering opportunities for everyone to play football.

In December 2020, Western United struck a partnership with Calder United in the NPLW, a partnership that has continued to flourish ever since.

Through shared resources and expertise to develop junior and high-performance programs, Calder United has become a crucial part of the Western United family and has continued its great success on the pitch, winning a fourth consecutive Nike F.C. Cup title in 2021.

Western United commenced an elite women’s development program in 2021 which has aimed to identify the best talents, particularly in the west, that will form the core of the Club’s A-League Women’s side.

Western United was successful in securing a license for the Liberty A-League Women in the 2022/23 season, which will only further the Club’s vision to grow the women’s game.
