Western United’s NPL 3 Men’s Under 21’s and Senior’s sides are set to host Preston Lions at City Vista Recreation Reserve in a blockbuster Friday night at City Vista Recreation Reserve.
The Under 21’s match will kick-off at 6:15pm before the Senior’s take centre stage at 8:15pm in one of the biggest games on the NPL 3 calendar.
All Western United members will be permitted free access to the match and are urged to come in full voice to support the Academy sides against a passionate travelling Preston crowd.

Anthony Frost has taken charge of the senior side this season and is off to a positive start, with four wins through the first seven games seeing the team in fourth place with just a three-point gap to top spot.
Preston are just one point ahead of United as the table stands with this set to be the first meeting between the two sides this season.
Both sides were neck and neck throughout the 2021 NPL 3 season, separated by just one point at the top of the table at the time of the season’s abandonment due to COVID-19.
United has so far seen contributions from a number of breakthrough young stars. Jake Najdovski has been a shining light up front with four goals including two huge stoppage time winners against Melbourne City and Doveton SC.
Charbel Shamoon has been performing at a high level at the back while Jalil Regague is leading the team in his first year as captain.
A number of A-League Men scholarship players have also played their part in the season including Christian Theoharous, Luke Duzel and Noah Botic.
