We’re so excited to announce that our school holiday program, WUWU School’s Out is back again, starting this week with the first two sessions in Geelong (Tuesday) and Hopper’s Crossing (Friday).
Open to all boys and girls, the program is a fun filled day of football with coaching from our accredited community coaches, the session is suitable for kids of all skill levels. The day also includes fun on the Western United inflatable football games and where possible, a visit from Western United footballers for selfies and autographs.
There’s lots of sessions throughout summer in different locations across the west. As we know it’s ‘always better as a member’ at Western United, so this year we are pleased to announce that we have introduced exclusive pricing for Western United Members with a 30 percent discount – bookings are limited so get in quick!
The program will give kids across the West the chance to work on their skills during fun and engaging football sessions run by Western United’s accredited coaches.
The program will be split into two age groups – junior (ages 5-8), and youth (ages 9-12).
Six youth sessions and three junior sessions will run, beginning on Tuesday, 5 January 2021.
Based on FFA recommendations, each session is structured as follows:
- Introduction to the program.
- A warm-up game to kick off the fun.
- A skill-based activity focused on the 4 fundamental core skills of football: 1st touch, running with the ball, striking the ball and 1v1.
- Game on! The program ends with the children playing a fun game of football demonstrating their new skills.
All registered participants will receive a Western United training top to wear during the session before taking it home.
