Ballarat will play host to its first A-League match of the season this month, when Western United take on the new club in the league – Macarthur FC – on February 20.
The A-League announced further updates to the 2020/21 fixture today, confirming the venue for the match scheduled for 20 February will be played at Mars Stadium, Ballarat.
The Green and Black hosted two games in Ballarat last season, as part of the strategy to bring live football to fans across the west.
In addition to the Macarthur match, the Club will host a minimum of one other match in the regional city this season.
Ticketing information for the match in Ballarat will be available soon.
As well as venue confirmation for the Macarthur fixture, it’s also been announced that United’s away clash with Newcastle Jets, originally scheduled for Wednesday, 10 February, has been postponed with a new date to be confirmed.
