Western United ALM Squad Update: Round 15 vs Sydney FC

Jordan Lauton Western United

Western United has made a late change to its extended squad for the Isuzu UTE A-League Men Round 15 clash against Sydney FC at North Hobart Oval on Saturday afternoon.

James York has come out of the 20-man squad and has been replaced by fellow Western United Academy product Jordan Lauton.

After York made his professional debut off the bench in last week’s fixture against Western Sydney Wanderers, this presents another exciting opportunity for another young Western United product.

Lauton was named in the extended squad for the first time in his career last week but did not make the trip to Hobart to face the Wanderers.

A member of the Western United Academy since its inaugural season, Lauton will be eager to feature against Sydney on Saturday and become the seventh player from the Academy to make his professional debut under John Aloisi this season.

York joins Steven Lustica in coming out of the side for the clash against the Sky Blues. Lustica is unavailable after sustaining a hamstring injury that saw him substituted in the 59th minute of last week’s defeat to Western Sydney.
