Calling on the kids of WU to make the best fan posters

It’s time to get creative and design the best fan poster for Sunday’s huge double header at Ironbark.

One of the things we love the most about our home games at Ironbark is seeing all the kids of WU cheering on their favourite players, and for the double header we are back with the famous Western United poster comp!

What to do

  1. Design a poster supporting either the boys or girls to display on Sunday. While we suggest using green or black paper to show your Western United pride, there’s no limit to your creativity!
  2. After the boys game, we ask for the fans to gather along the fence line close to the corner flag in the forecourt. The boys will be gathering in that corner post their match to meet the fans and check out all the posters! Three players will each have a prize to gift randomly for the posters they like the most.
  3. After the girls game, we ask the fans to gather along the fence line in front of the Pavilion. The girls will be gathering in that area to meet the fans and check out the posters! Three players will each have a prize to gift randomly for the posters they like the most.
  4. That’s it!

Make your poster on matchday

No time before Sunday to get creative? Never fear, a poster-making station will be located in the forecourt of Ironbark, it will be fully stocked with poster paper, markers, and other materials to help craft the perfect design.

After the match, players will select their favourite posters, awarding spot prizes like Western United merchandise or even exclusive items from the players themselves.

In the past, we’ve seen an incredible display of green and black posters filling the stadium, creating a vibrant and unified atmosphere. Tarneit has come alive with our colours, and for the final home match of 2024, we want to make it even bigger and better.

So, bring your posters to the match or get ready to unleash your creativity on game day!
