Western United can provide an update on the injury status of Ninja A-League Women attacker Catherine Zimmerman.
The American was substituted in the 61st minute of Friday night’s 4-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers after being on the receiving end of a hefty challenge minutes earlier.
Scans later revealed that Zimmerman has suffered a broken collarbone, and she will undergo surgery to repair the fracture.
As a result of the injury, Zimmerman is expected to miss up to 4-6 weeks while completing her rehabilitation.
