Western United Head Coach Mark Rudan is looking forward to rectifying elements of his side’s performance for next week’s clash against Melbourne Victory.
The Green and Black went down 2-1 to Melbourne City in Geelong after Jamie Maclaren struck twice for the visitors.
Rudan, however, insists things will aim to be rectified during the week.
“We need to be smarter. In terms of controlling the game and the opponent.
“It’s something we need to rectify, work on, review and be better at.
“It’s the second week in a row that we’ve got out of the blocks quite slowly. It could be a number of things but we need to get on top of that.”
Besart Berisha cancelled out Jamie Maclaren’s opener, before City’s number number 9 struck again to seal the points for City.
It was United’s first loss of the season, and Rudan is now focused on getting his side back up to face the Victory next Saturday night.
“The tactical is the easy part. That’s our job – to find solutions against every opposition with or without the ball.
“They’re very disappointed and that’s the key. To make sure we get back up as soon as possible.”
Western United’s clash with the Victory is 7:30PM on Saturday, November 2 at Marvel Stadium.
