Western United is preparing for a ‘kids takeover’ in Geelong for the Club’s Round 4 fixture against Brisbane Roar on Saturday December 11.
The Club has seen great success from the Kids Go Free initiative in the early part of this season and will continue to encourage a family friendly atmosphere at all matches.
With this being the first twilight kick-off of the season, set for 5:05pm, this is the perfect occasion for all families to come along to the match and celebrate a fantastic night out at the football with a host of other fun things to do.
Kids can play the part and show their Green and Black colours with pre-game face painting and inflatable football fun outside the stadium.
That will build the family feeling before kick-off as well as an array of performers and entertainers both outside and on the concourse and a spectacular fireworks show ahead of the match.
There will be more family-focused initiatives announced in due course ahead of the match, but the Club encourages all families from Geelong and across Victoria to take part in a fun evening for everyone at the football.
Local community clubs, schools, football lovers or any families out for an enjoyable Saturday night can look no further, with a suitable time, plenty of activities and a quality football match, all for free for kids under 12.
On the pitch, fans will be treated to a great spectacle, with United boasting strong ex-Brisbane Roar contingent, including head coach John Aloisi, Jamie Young and Dylan Wenzel-Halls who have all just joined the club.
United secured its first win of the new season last week, and with the support of all the kids and families at GMHBA Stadium to make it a special evening, Aloisi’s men will look to add to the points tally heading in closer to Christmas and the New Year.
