Western United Football Club can confirm an additional two Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s player have tested positive for Covid-19.
The fully vaccinated players will undertake the required 10-day isolation period as per Victorian Government Guidelines.
Additionally, a further four players are unavailable after being deemed Covid-19 close contacts. These players will also adhere to the Victorian Government isolation and testing requirements.
Pleasingly, one of the three previously announced players affected by Covid-19 has completed their isolation requirement and returned to training this week. The remaining two players complete their isolation period today.
The Club continues to follow all Victorian Government health advice and all Covid protocols as set by the APL including daily Rapid Antigen Tests and regular PCR testing.
The health and wellbeing of all players and staff is the club’s upmost priority and those players currently in isolation are doing well.
The match against Melbourne Victory on Sunday night at AAMI Park will go ahead as planned.
