Western United are inviting all junior players and coaches from the Ballarat District Soccer Association and South West Victoria clubs to participate in a pre-match celebration this Saturday, December 28.
For United’s first-ever A-League home game in Ballarat this Saturday against Wellington Phoenix, junior players and coaches are invited to participate in an ‘Olympic opening ceremony’ style walk around the perimeter of the pitch before the match.
Participants are required to wear their club’s gear and are encouraged to bring banners and flags to showcase their club during the parade.
The event will be accompanied by celebratory music, commentated by the ground announcer, displayed on the screens at the ground and broadcast live, at times, on Fox Sports.
Each participating junior player and club coach will receive a match ticket on arrival.
The walk will start at approximately 4:15 pm. All participants will be required to be at the gravel area near Gate 1 by 3:30 pm.

*Note that FFA allows banners up to 1m x 1m and flag poles must be from plastic or wood and no greater than 1.5 meters in length.
