Western United’s A-League side weren’t the only ones smashing it on Saturday, with the Green and Black’s 16-year-old sensation Dylan Campbell now the number one seed for May’s E-League Finals after his Xbox exploits in Sydney.
As Mark Rudan’s A-League men sparkled in Adelaide putting five past Adelaide, teen sensation Campbell was getting more rave reviews, winning a second consecutive Xbox console Player of the Day award after MD 2 E-League action in Sydney.
It means Campbell – aka N8_Dylan – is now number one seed going into the finals at the magnificent new Fortress Melbourne CBD venue, the stylish new home for esports in Australia.
Finals day is May 9 with most media attention now focussing on Western United’s star of the future, N8_Dylan.
And because the teen is number one seed, he has an advantageous draw. As the front-runner, he advances straight into to the quarter-finals, and will have the most fortuitous match-ups on Finals Day.
On MD 1 and 2, Campbell has been ably guided by United’s other E-League player Omer Cenk (N8_Cenk) who, while performing solidly himself, provided the experience and support to his fellow United player that helped Campbell perform so well.
“Dylan’s a little machine and one to watch for the next few years,” Cenk told www.wufc.com.au.
“I’m a bit more experienced but Dylan has a long career ahead of him.”
It is now strictly an individual competition, and Campbell is perfectly placed to capture the E-League Championship as the top seed due to his outstanding individual results throughout MD 1 and 2.
