WUWU School’s OUT program: Term two update

Thumbnail

In light of the recent COVID-19 public health developments in Victoria, Western United have decided not to proceed with the WUWU School’s Out holiday program during the upcoming school holiday break.

The club’s community coaches were looking forward to again being able to run more fun football sessions for the kids, but have had to make the tough and safe decision to wait until they are confident the children in their care during the program are safe.

For now, there is the WUWU Hangout with online activities, and also star right-back Josh Risdon’s feature in the Victoria University’s Kids Active Recess program with a fantastic online training session – view the session here.

Remember too that applications for the Federal Government Sporting School’s Program are now open for term three.

Once a school has applied for funding and been awarded the grant, Western United will come and visit the kids at school and deliver the WUWU School’s IN program. The club want to get to as many schools in the west as they can, so encourage your school to apply!
