Western United is gearing up for an AAMI Park triple header through the festive period, and the Club is offering supporters a special 3-game membership package to catch all the action.
It all starts on Friday December 17 where John Aloisi’s men will go in search of a new club record when Adelaide United comes to town.
No Western United side has ever won four consecutive A-League Men matches, and after victories over Perth Glory, Melbourne City and Brisbane Roar, the Green and Black now has a chance to do.
Previous meetings with Adelaide have been fierce, with goals, red cards and plenty of drama every time the two sides have faced off.
Following that there is a huge away fixture against Melbourne Victory on Boxing Day. United will look to continue the Christmas cheer with a positive result against its Melbourne rivals.
After Victory won the opening round clash between the two sides in Geelong, United will be out to exact revenge knowing that a win could possibly take the Green and Black past Victory on the table.
The third match will see Western United host Sydney FC on January 7, ringing in the new year with a blockbuster clash against last season’s runners-up.
Sydney failed to win any of its first four matches of the season and United has opened up an early seven-point gap to the Sky Blues, so a win for Aloisi’s men could be crucial to extend that lead.
Despite the shaky start, Sydney will still pose a major test for United, and a string of positive results for the Green and Black up to that point could have the team in an excellent position to challenge at the top through the rest of the campaign.
