Western United will make history on Saturday with its first ever Liberty A-League Women match against rivals Melbourne Victory.

To mark the grand occasion, there will be a host of activities and events going on throughout pre-match and half-time, making this one not to be missed.

Liberty A-League Women debut

You can say “I was there to witness history” by heading down to City Vista to watch the girls in Green and Black take to the pitch for the very first time.

Head Coach Mark Torcaso has assembled his squad with a mix of outstanding international and local talent that is ready to take on the Liberty A-League competition.

The match will be played in front of the Green and Black fans in the heart of the West and will be an occasion to remember.

Fans’ Football Festival pre-game

Western United fans will be able to take in the entertainment and activities pre-game on the synthetic pitches at City Vista, with plenty on offer.

While a DJ will be setting the tone with some tunes, air brush tattoos and hair braiding will be available to ensure everyone is looking the part to cheer on the Green and Black.

Kids can get active with giant bubbles and the WUFC football inflatables, and stock up on the brand new Liberty A-League kits and a host of brand new items at the Merchandise tent.

Everyone will be well fed as well with a cevapi barbecue and spit on offer as well as the canteen at the venue.

Isuzu UTE A-League Men squad in attendance

In support of the Club’s brand new team, the entire Isuzu UTE A-League Men squad will be in attendance to cheer on their Green and Black colleagues.

All of the men’s players will head onto the pitch at half-time and will be available for autographs and selfies over the fence throughout the break.

Make sure you’ve got your sharpies and phones at the ready and get to the front to meet your favourite Isuzu UTE A-League heroes.

The Liberty A-League Pass is a brand-new league initiative and allows all kids aged 16 and under who are registered football players in the community to watch every game of the Liberty A-League season absolutely free.

Western United prides itself on providing the most affordable matchday experience in the A-Leagues and will give everyone an opportunity to come and watch the newest Liberty A-League team.

Tickets are available for just $15 for adults and just $30 for families, while kids under 12 go free so the entire Green and Black family can come together for an affordable price.

United continues to foster an inclusive and passionate fan experience and encourages all fans to come together with the most affordable tickets behind the goals to bring the noise and spur on the players on the pitch.

Active Support

The Western Core will make its debut as the all new Western United Liberty A-League active support group.

The chants are ready for every player and the Core will be bringing the noise to spur on the girls on the pitch.

Tickets

Tickets to the match on Sunday can be pre-purchased here.

There will be ticket sales on matchday at the ticket office, but fans are encouraged to pre-book tickets in order to avoid queuing at the ground.

All ticketholders are encouraged to arrive at the match early for ease of admission through security checks. Patrons can only enter through the gate stated on their ticket.

Member redemption

All members are advised that membership cards do not give access to the venue. All members must redeem their tickets prior to the match in order to be admitted into the venue.

Paramount+

The match will be broadcast live on Paramount+, the home of Australian football.

Merchandise

The Western United merchandise tent will be set up at the fan festival on the synthetic pitches at City Vista from 2pm.

The brand-new Liberty A-League kits will be on sale for the first time while fresh, unique ALW items will also be on offer so you can take home your piece of history.

Members are encouraged to bring their merchandise vouchers and to stock up on Green and Black supporter wear to paint the stands in United colours to spur the team on.

Parking

There will be access to free parking on the premises of City Vista Pavilion and Sports Field, though only until all spaces are taken.

If the carpark is full, there will be plenty of street parking available in neighbouring streets, but please take note of any time restrictions, no-standing zones and other restrictions.

Public Transport

City Vista Pavilion and Sports Field is accessible by public transport, but only on bus routes within surrounding suburbs.

The 461 bus service stops on the corner of City Vista Court and Royale Drive, essentially letting passengers off right outside the ground.

Any item or bag that is too large to fit under a seat must not be brought into the stadium and a limit of one bag per person applies.
