Western United’s Andrew Durante has received a one match suspension for a red card awarded against him in last night’s A-League match against Sydney FC.
The Match Review Panel (MRP) met on Thursday afternoon and re-classified the incident from “violent conduct” to “serious unsporting conduct” which carries a mandatory one match suspension.
The club has accepted the ban and will not appeal.
The decision means that Durante will miss Western United’s next home game against Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park on Sunday, March 14.
