Anthony Didulica is back in the Joeys squad after receiving a call-up for the PacificAus Sports Football Tour in mid-August.
The Western United Academy youngster will represent the national team for the first time since his dazzling performances at the ASEAN U-16 Boys’ Championship in June.
In his first ever camp with the Joeys, Didulica finished as the tournament’s joint-top goal scorer with six goals, including a vital brace in the semi-final.
The 16-year-old followed that clutch effort by converting in a final penalty shoot-out as the Joeys defeated Thailand to lift the trophy.

Didulica will now be eager to pick up right where he left off as the Joeys face Solomon Islands in two friendly matches before taking on Vanuatu.
Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato is looking forward to Didulica receiving consistent national team exposure.
“It is fantastic to see that Anthony has been rewarded for his outstanding tournament last month with another selection for the Joeys,” he said.
“At club level, we are nurturing and preparing our young players to give them the best possible base to be able to perform and flourish in the national teams.
“We have now seen that with Anthony and we have seen that in the performances of our players in the Young Socceroos squad over the past couple of weeks.
“It is extremely encouraging to see our young players standing out and developing with these opportunities, and we look forward to many more to come.”
This camp will serve as the perfect preparation for the Joeys as they work towards the AFC U17 Asian Cup in October.
The Joeys have been drawn in Group G alongside tournament hosts Kuwait, Indonesia and Northern Mariana Islands, with that competition also serving as the first step in qualifying for next year’s FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar.
