The opening show will take place on Saturday 27 January at North Hobart Oval as Western United takes on Western Sydney Wanderers in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men.

There could be some bad blood between the two teams as Western United looks to avenge a defeat against the Wanderers, while a number of players on both sides will be lining up against their former teams.

The Westies will then swarm to centre stage the following week with an exhilarating double act with a first-ever meeting against Central Coast Mariners in the Liberty A-League followed by a rematch of last year’s men’s match in Hobart, with United hosting Sydney FC.

With three performances within the space of a week, it’s set to be the best show in town as some of the top football talents in the country step into the spotlight in Hobart.

The man, Daniel Penha, will hope to be at his untouchable best to have the opposition seeing red across the two fixtures.

Western United’s fearless leader Josh Risdon will carry the team onto the field and hope to go back to December when he scored a stunning late winner against Brisbane Roar.

Superstar midfielder Angus Thurgate is growing into an increasingly important role in the side, which is nothing new for him given his performances throughout his Isuzu UTE A-League career to date.

Chloe Logarzo is in a state of grace right now and she will be out to continue dominating the charts, playing football out of her wildest dreams.

Western United’s very own fifteen, Adriana Taranto, is in equally special form, while Hannah Keane and Tyla Jay Vlajnic will remember all too well their heroics in Hobart the last time, when their goals helped defeat Brisbane Roar.

On the opposition sides, the likes of Western Sydney’s Marcus Antonsson and Jorrit Hendrix and Sydney FC stars Robert Mak and Joe Lolley will be trouble when they walk in the pitch.

Casey Dumont comes in with a big reputation as Central Coast’s goalkeeper in the Liberty A-League and if Matilda Kyah Simon should be fit enough to play, Western United’s defenders certainly won’t be out of the woods until the final whistle sounds.

Long story short, Western United will bring the style to Hobart for three action-packed games of elite football and both sides will hope to make it a cruel summer for their opponents.

It’s a love story for Western United in Hobart, and you belong with us inside the stadium to cheer on the Green and Black.
