Western United star Besart Berisha has his eyes on tomorrow’s historic Hyundai A-League clash against Wellington Phoenix in Ballarat.
After six home games in Geelong, United will head further west for the first-ever A-League game in Ballarat.
And Berisha is raring to go.
“We are really excited to come to Ballarat and hopefully it’s going to be a great game for us and something to celebrate for the Ballarat fans too,” Berisha told the Ballarat Courier on Thursday.
“It’s great for the city I think… it’s really special because a lot of people are not working at this time so it’s a great atmosphere.
“Everybody is excited, we are doing well at the club and I think it’s the perfect timing to come to Ballarat and try to have a good game down there.”
Berisha has scored six A-League goals since returning to the A-League this season, including United’s first-ever in round 1 against the Phoenix.
And the A-League’s all-time leading scorer is hoping to find the net again in Ballarat.
“I’m definitely looking forward to Ballarat, to come down there, and hopefully I am able to score the goal there.
“I love celebrating in different places… I hope I can have this moment to celebrate at the Ballarat stadium and with the people down there.”
