Western United can confirm that Ninja A-League Women goalkeeper Chloe Lincoln has made the decision to depart the Club at the conclusion of her contract.

Joining the Green and Black in May 2024, Lincoln made 15 appearances in goal this season and kept two clean sheets.

In her time as a Western United player, Lincoln played at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup before earning her first Matildas call-up in October, a milestone which was quickly followed by her senior national team debut in December.

Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato thanked Lincoln for her contributions in another successful season for the Club.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to thank Chloe for her contributions and wish her every success with her next steps,” he said.

“Being part of our first full season at home at Ironbark Fields, Chloe has been a valued member of our group.

“As a Club, we are proud to have supported Chloe in achieving her debut with the Matildas and we look forward to continuing to watch her career progress.”

With the off-season only just beginning, Western United will continue to shape its squad with ambition to remain in the top places on the Ninja A-League table.

Fan-favourite Grace Maher, Young Player of the Season winner Sasha Grove and electric youngster Alana Cortellino are all contracted for the next campaign with further announcements to come throughout the off-season.
