Claudia Mihocic will look to go to another level with Western United, re-signing with the Green and Black for the 2025/26 Ninja A-League Women season.

The 22-year-old was a standout performer in the back half of this season, racking up 14 appearances in total.

With outstanding ball-playing ability at the back matched with a full-hearted commitment to defensive duels, Mihocic immediately took to life at Ironbark Fields and will be ready to step up again next term.

The Victorian local said she is delighted to re-sign and is motivated to repay the support of the fans with another strong season.

“I’m super excited to re-sign for Western United next season and just build off this year, both personally and as a team,” she said.

“I’ve loved being able to play alongside amazing players who are also great people. I had a lot of fun last season and I’m looking forward to doing anything I can to help the team go all the way this season.”

Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato is boisterous about Mihocic’s high ceiling and her ability to reach it in Tarneit.

“We were thrilled with how Claudia developed throughout her first season at the Club and are equally pleased to have her locked in for next season,” he said.

“She has been a tremendous addition into our group and has perfectly embodied our values and culture alongside her ability on the pitch.

“We are confident in Claudia’s significant potential and we look forward to seeing her continue to work hard towards realising that here with us at Ironbark Fields.”

Mihocic’s re-signing completes a double-move in defence for United with Julia Sardo also re-committing to new terms this week.

Early on in the off-season, Western United already has five players locked in for the 2024/25 campaign with Grace Maher, Sasha Grove and Alana Cortellino each entering the second year of their existing contracts.
