Western United Football Club can confirm that midfielder Dario Jertec has returned home to Croatia.
“We thank Dario for his efforts both on and off the pitch in our first season, he will forever be part of Western United’s history with his role in the founding squad,” said Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis.
Jertec signed for United in early September ahead of the club’s inaugural Hyundai A-League season.
The Croatian made his debut in the club’s first-ever A-League game away to Wellington Phoenix, before going on to make 15 total appearances.
“Thank you Western United and the people at the club for a wonderful six months. I wish everyone well, the club, the coach, the players and the people around the club,” Jertec said.
“I wish the club all the best of luck and success in the future and I will always remember these beautiful moments and being part of the history of Western United.”
