The Match
Western United is back in Ballarat for the third home match in a row and looking to pick up a massive win against Wellington Phoenix.
Despite a series of disappointing results, John Aloisi has been pleased with the performances and will be eager to see his players translate that into results on the pitch this weekend.
Past fixtures against Wellington have always brought high drama and fantastic football, with the Green and Black holding fond memories from previous outings.
United’s historic first ever match came in a 1-0 win against the Phoenix in 2019 and it was another 1-0 victory that kick-started the Green and Black’s magical run to the Championship in the 2022 Finals Series.
A stunning 3-2 comeback win had hearts racing last season, with all that building up to a massive contest at Mars Stadium on Saturday.
Lachie Wales is set to play his 150th match in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and will be out to mark the occasion with another goal and a win against the Nix.
For the Kids
We will have free Paramount+ Western United ‘clappers’ and WUFC Player Signing posters for the kids. Some players will be available for signatures and photos pre match next to the merchandise van in the concourse.
After the game, the rest of the A-League Men team will be available for selfies and autographs around the pitch barrier. Additionally, the stadium bistro will be open, and there will be food trucks on the concourse for your dining pleasure.

Location & Transport
The match is located at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.
If you are travelling via train, from Ballarat Station take the bus from the Ballarat bus interchange to North Ballarat Sports Club/Creswick Rd. From there it is just a three minute walk to Mars Stadium.
If you are driving, there will be parking on site and in surrounding streets.
Please enter through Gate 1 located on Creswick Road on the same side as the Eastern Stand.

Tickets for the match are available online at ticketek.com.au and at the Ticket Box Office on match day. We strongly encourage pre-purchase to ensure the best match day arrival experience.
The Ticket Box Office is located at Gate 1, open from 4.30PM
There is only one Gate to enter the match.
