Ironbark Fields will come alive for a spectacular weekend of community engagement, family fun and football action on Saturday 26 October and Sunday 27 October.
Western United will be taking on Western Sydney Wanderers in a huge Isuzu UTE A-League Men home opener on the Sunday but the action will kick off the day before with the Club hosting a Diwali celebration.
Taking place at Western United’s home of sport and community in the West, the event marking the Hindu festival of lights will kick off at 12pm and run all the way until 9pm with family fun galore.
Rides, fireworks and an animal farm will bring terrific fun for the whole family on top of some incredible Indian cultural experiences.
Indian dances and performances will light up Ironbark Fields and there will also be a thrilling game of kabaddi, India’s remarkably popular and incredibly entertaining sport.
Western United membership and merchandise teams will be in attendance to get you ready for the season and the huge home opener the following day.

The fun and excitement continues all weekend long with the carnival-like festivities remaining at Ironbark Fields from 1pm on Sunday and leading all the way to kick-off for the colossal Isuzu UTE A-League home opener.
Western Sydney Wanderers come to town for a massive Western Showdown as all eyes come towards the football in Tarneit when the match kicks off at 4pm.
The Green and Black’s young stars, spear-headed by head coach John Aloisi, will be out to get the season off to the perfect start in front of the home faithful.
The Wanderers will be bringing their Spanish World Cup winner and former Manchester United and Chelsea star Juan Mata to Tarneit but Ben Garuccio, Hiroshi Ibusuki and co. will be ready and waiting to put on a show and drive the team on to victory.
