Join the Western United fun over the summer holidays

Western United school holidays

The school holidays are in full swing, and that means the perfect way to stay active and engaged with Western United over the summer.

Throughout January, Western United will invite all members of the community to share in the Green and Black love with holiday camps for the kids and a first ever open training session with the Liberty A-League Women squad.

It all starts in less than two weeks with the first of two holiday camps to be held at the Victoria University campus in Werribee.

Two full-day clinics will be held, the first on Tuesday 16 January and the second two days later on Thursday 18 January, giving kids the perfect opportunity to practice their skills and enjoy playing football over the summer break.

Ahead of the return of grassroots football for the 2024 season, young players can get a head start on the pre-season schedule and pick up some new tips and tricks while meeting new friends and feeling part of the Western United family.

The holiday fun will continue with a two-day camp the following week in conjunction with partner club Barnstoneworth United Junior Football Club.

Held at JT Gray Reserve in Williamstown, the camp will take play on Monday 22 January and Tuesday 23 January with the option to participate in both or just one of the days.

As with all TUFP camps, registrations are open to boys and girls aged 5-15 and ranging all abilities and levels of experience in football.

Registrations close on Thursday 18 January, so don’t miss out on the chance to learn the Western United way this school holidays.

Western United fans will also have the special opportunity to get up close and personal with their Liberty A-League heroes with an open training session the morning of Thursday 18 January.

Fans will be able to watch Kat Smith and her coaching staff put the players through their paces at Galvin Park reserve in Werribee before collecting signatures and selfies with the star female footballers after the end of the session.

Western United merchandise will also be on offer and there will be plenty to enjoy for the Green and Black army to head out and support the team.

There is always plenty to do over the school holidays, and there is bound to be an activity for you this summer. Visit the TUFP website and stay tuned to the Western United socials for more details.
