Kahli Johnson will take her game to yet greater heights, signing on for a third straight Liberty A-League Women season with Western United.

Already one of the nation’s most promising young attackers, Johnson will enter the 2024/25 campaign with further experience under her belt and with the readiness to announce herself as one of the most potent forwards in the competition.

Johnson’s re-signing comes on the eve of the Australia Under-23 camp in Sweden where the 20-year-old will join Western teammate Alana Cerne in the squad for a series of matches against top European nations.

After committing to another season in the West, Johnson said she is eager to elevate to a new level in 2024/25 both individually and as a collective.

“I’m very excited for this third season. Having had two solid finishes in the league, I feel we’ve gained a lot of experience as a team and would love to push for one better next season,” she said.

“I’ve been very happy with my development at Western so far and I’m keen to keep growing and learning. I would love to show that more on the field this season.”

Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato said Johnson’s continued development and commitment is a telling example of the Club’s ambition.

“In Kahli, we have once again secured one of Australia’s best young attackers and we can’t wait to see her increase her impact again,” he said.

“Across both men’s and women’s programs, we are dedicated to promoting and nurturing young talents and we are eager to showcase this to our fans to provide them with an exciting and attacking brand of football to watch.

“With Kahli’s talent, attitude and enormous potential, she will only continue to grow and we look forward to watching that journey at our home in Tarneit.”
