Lil’ Westies program to get pre-school kids active

Western United Lil Westies

Western United will be engaging its youngest football fans in the beautiful game with the launch of the Lil’ Westies program.

The program is tailored to pre-school aged children with fun and engaging activities designed to develop fundamental motor skills through football.

Lil’ Westies will launch with a pilot program at Arndell Park Community Centre in Truganina, offering four sessions, taking place weekly for two different age groups.

Get involved in the Lil Westies pilot program

Children aged 2.5 years old to 3.5 years old will form one group, while any child aged between 3-4 years of age will create the second group.

Sessions are free of charge for the launch of the program, beginning Monday 15 May and taking place weekly until Monday 5 June.

Each session is 45 minutes long, with the youngest age group running from 9:15am to 10:00am and the second going from 10:10am to 10:55am.

A parent or guardian will need to be present for the entire session to help their child along and encourage them to continue enjoying each part of the session.

The program will be run by trained, knowledgeable Western United staff with a passion for helping young children get active and develop their motor skills in a welcoming environment.
