Western United is aiming for back-to-back wins this Saturday when they face their local rival at AAMI Park.
United recorded their first win of the season last weekend, defeating Perth Glory in a nine-goal thriller at GMHBA Stadium, Geelong.
The win saw the Green and Black jump to seventh on the A-League table, three points off the top four, with a game in hand.
United’s blue opponents meanwhile recorded their first win of the season on Tuesday night, coming from behind to defeat the Glory 2-1 at AAMI Park.
Western United has won all three of its previous matches against its cross-town rival.
United famously came back from 2-0 down in round 4 last season to win 3-2 at Marvel Stadium.
Saturday’s fixture marks United’s first-ever home game at AAMI Park.
The Club will play selected home games at the venue in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions, starting with this weekend’s derby.
