Western United begin A-League restart with win over Melbourne Victory

Western United picked up where they left off in the A-League, defeating Melbourne Victory 2-1 at Bankwest Stadium in their first game since the restart.

United broke the deadlock on 36 minutes when defender Tomi Uskok got on the end of a corner, finishing cleverly into the bottom corner.

Max Burgess doubled the lead for the Green and Black with a stunning volley, making it five goals in three games for the midfielder.

Storm Roux pulled one back late for the Victory, heading home from a corner.

The win sees United one point outside the top six with two games in hand over sixth-placed Adelaide United.
