Match Review Panel Outcome – Jacob Tratt

Jacob Tratt Western United

Western United defender Jacob Tratt will serve a one-match suspension after receiving a straight red card in Sunday’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men match against Newcastle Jets.

Tratt was sent off after a challenge on Beka Mikeltadze in the 75th minute of the match, which ended 1-1 at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.

The Match Review Panel determined that Tratt committed the offence of “denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, as prescribed in Law 12 of the Laws of the Game”.

A one-match ban is the minimum sanction for the offence, meaning Tratt will miss United’s trip to Hobart to face Sydney FC on Saturday January 21.
