Western United star Dylan Pierias has caught the eye with his explosive speed and skill down the wing.

He’s proving a versatile and very handy asset for the Green and Black.

But what sort of music is he in to? And does he have a secret skill? The Western United teenager reveals all…

Who were your previous clubs?

Spring Hills, Keilor Park, Pascoe Vale, Melbourne City.

Where did you like playing best and why?

Probably in the juniors for Keilor. It was really fun time. You know, I was just a kid.

Why do you love football? Did you ever consider any other sport?

I actually started playing AFL. I loved Auskick at Keilor but I moved onto soccer.

Is there anything you don’t like about being a professional footballer, be honest!

I love football, so it’s a tough question. There’s nothing I really hate… maybe when you’re training at 36 degrees in the middle of summer!

What are your dreams for your career from now?

Well, the Socceroos of course. I’ve played under 17 and under 20, so I’d love to make the senior team. And to go overseas sometime. Being Italian background I’d love Italy, and I love the style of play in Germany too, so either of those would be a dream come true.

Why Western United? What do you like about the new club?

When I heard the opportunity, it was a no brainer being from the West – representing my home area and to be part of making history. It’s got me out of my comfort zone and has given me a new challenge.

What do you do when you’re not playing football? Any special hobbies?

Cooking, believe it or not, and fishing! I love going out with my Dad. We recently went chasing tuna off Portland. I love fishing and boats and all that stuff.

Favourite band?

Drake or Chris Brown.

Favourite movie?

The Rocky series. They’re the first real good boxing movies and I love Sylvester Stallone.

Favourite football legend – any country, any era?

Have to go with Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s just all-round brilliant – almost a bit too good!

Who did you support as a youngster before you started playing football professionally?

Man Utd. They were my Dad’s team. I really never had a choice!
