Western United suffered its third loss of the season on Sunday night, going down 1-0 to Western Sydney Wanderers in Ballarat.
United had a chance to go ahead early in the match when Iker Guarrotxena played in Connor Pain who fired a shot at Daniel Margush. The Wanderers keeper made a strong save to deny the United wing-back.
In the 30th minute United keeper Filip Kurto made a reflex save to deny a Wanderers goal.

In the following Wanderers attack, Kurto copped a knock to his head and was forced off. Ryan Scott replaced him between the sticks in just his second A-League appearance.
The Wanderers opened the scoring 12 minutes into the second half as Jordon Mutch won the ball off Jerry Skotadis, before clinically finishing a one-on-one.
Dylan Pierias thought he had equalised for the Green and Black shortly after with his left-footed effort, missing the target by a matter of inches.
Despite a persistent United attack, the sturdy Wanderers side held on for a narrow win at Mars Stadium.
