Western United’s comeback win over Melbourne Victory will be remembered for years to come.
The Green and Black trailed by two goals inside the first seven minutes, before fighting back to win 3-2.
Alessandro Diamanti and Scott McDonald each scored their first goals for the club to lead United to a famous win at Marvel Stadium, while Besart Berisha was a threat all night and was involved in the equalizer (credited as an OG to James Donachie).
Here’s how social media reacted to the historic night:
Pumped for @ScottyMcD83. Deserved better in @Socceroos colours. Wanted to come back to Aus and show what he can do for years.
Now he’s produced that in a derby in the twilight of his career. #MVCvWUN #ALeague ⚽️🇦🇺
