Like stats? Here are four for Saturday night’s Western United game. 

Western United will aim for a third consecutive Hyundai A-League win when it faces Newcastle Jets in Geelong (GMHBA Stadium). 

United is coming off wins against Melbourne Victory and Western Sydney Wanderers, which has them second on the table heading into Round 6. 

Here are four key stats ahead of Saturday night’s clash.

  • Western United has won the most tackles (61) of any team in the 2019/20 A-League season thus far. 
  • Alessandro Diamanti (Western United) has had the most shots on target (8) from outside the box of any player in the 2019/20 A-League season.
  • This will be the first A-League meeting between Western United and Newcastle Jets;  United won their inaugural competition fixture against a New South Wales opponent last time out (2-1 v Western Sydney Wanderers).
  • Western United have put together back-to-back A-League victories for the first time, sealing the win after the scores were level at halftime on each occasion.
