The men’s home opener in Tarneit is tomorrow!

Western United A-League Men Tarneit

History is upon every football fan in the west with the first-ever Isuzu UTE A-League Men match at our new home in Tarneit on tomorrow.

After four-and-a-half seasons travelling the west and beyond, the first ever home match in Tarneit is finally here. This weekend we call on every fan, member and participant of Western United to represent the west and cheer on the boys as Josh Risdon leads the team out for the very first time at the Regional Football Facility.

Western United fans are ready to fill the Regional Football Facility again.

Since day one back in 2019, everyone that is part of the Green and Black fabric has been working, building and waiting for this moment.

Josh Risdon is one of those, having been the Club’s inaugural Australian signing. Now as Club captain, Risdon will lead his teammates into the history books and called on everyone in the West to be part of the day.

“This is going to be a really special moment for the Club and for me personally. I’ve been on this journey since the beginning and it is amazing to see it finally reach this point,” he said.

“Myself and all the boys have been loving every moment of training since we moved here and we just can’t wait to see all the seats filled with our loyal members getting behind us.

“Make sure you all snap up your tickets quickly so you can be part of this day with us. I, and all the boys, can’t wait to see you there and celebrate as one United family.”

Join the Western United fun in Tarneit from 2pm

With the match kicking off at 3:30pm AEDT, the gates will be open from 2pm for everyone in the community to take in the pre-match atmosphere and enjoy the entertainment and activations at the venue.

It’s set to be a fun-filled afternoon with games and giveaways for the kids, food trucks for lunch and Western United merchandise to make sure you are ready to get behind the boys for 90 minutes.

The Liberty A-League squad will also be in attendance, so fans will be able to meet their heroes and wish them luck ahead of the beginning of the Finals Series.

The time for talking, waiting and wishing is over. Now it’s time for action.

Be there when Western United makes footballing history and be part of something special. Secure your tickets before supply runs out and get to the ground to cheer on the Green and Black.
