We are profoundly devastated to hear of the passing of Jay Sutcliffe this weekend.
Jay was a foundation member of Western United and one of the key founders of the Western Service Crew, building a special culture in the Green and Black family from day one.
From the first ever friendly at Georgies to the 2022 Finals Series and right through to last season, Jay was behind the Club – men’s, women’s and youth teams – in every way.
We grieve along with Jay’s family and friends, sending our heartfelt condolences to them at this unthinkably difficult time and offering our love and support in any way possible.
We also extend that love and support to the entire Western United family.
Jay was a magnetic figure in our community that touched many from the stands to the boardroom and down onto the pitch.
Together, we stand arm in arm with our Green and Black community to celebrate Jay’s kindness, passion and dedication and to cherish the countless memories we shared.
