Western United fans are set to descend on Galvin Park in Werribee for the Club’s first-ever Liberty A-League Women open training session on Thursday morning.
Supporters will get the chance to watch their heroes at work and get up close and personal with the stars of the Western United team after training.
This is the first opportunity that Western United fans will have had to watch the team train in Victoria, getting a behind the scenes look at the hard work that goes on to bring about the success on the pitch.
The Western women currently sit in fifth place on the Liberty A-League table and are just four points adrift of second spot.
Kat Smith came in as head coach in December and has enjoyed a strong run so far as United chases a second consecutive appearance in the finals.
The Green and Black faithful will be able to see Smith put the players through their paces heading into the first home game in Victoria in 2024.
Chloe Logarzo has been in all-star form and will be out to greet the fans alongside the remainder of the squad, including Women’s World Cup star Jaclyn Sawicki and young Australian talents Grace Maher, Alana Cerne and Kahli Johnson.
Training starts bright and early at 8am and there will be a coffee cart on hand get everyone caffeinated and ready to cheer on the girls for training.
There will be free giveaways of posters and balls for the kids to get signed, and make sure you bring your jerseys and anything else that you would like the girls to pen their signature on.
