Western United’s first ever extended Liberty A-League Women squad has been confirmed, featuring a host of stars set to make their mark on the competition.
Matildas star Chloe Logarzo is included having arrived back from Matildas camp and will be out to earn her first minutes at club level since injuring her ACL last year.
After their superb performances in pre-season, American duo Hannah Keane and Jessica McDonald will hope to lead the line up front and combine just as they did in a friendly against Melbourne Victory just two weeks ago.
Local talents Alana Cerne and Stacey Papadopoulos will be eager to make their A-League Women debuts, while a number of players will return to the competition including four-time Champion Tyla Jay Vlajnic and Emma Robers, who won the Championship last season with Victory.
Harriet Withers and Natasha Dakic are the only players that are unavailable for Round 1, but both are nearing returns to full training.
Head Coach Mark Torcaso will be eager to get off to a perfect start in the Club’s inaugural season, with the Round 1 fixture set to be a blockbuster.
