Western United faces a mouth-watering top of the table clash against Sydney FC in the Liberty A-League Women this weekend, and Mark Torcaso’s extended squad is in for the fixture.
Kahli Johnson will miss the trip to face her former side due to being called into international duty with the Young Matildas as they begin their qualification campaign for the 2024 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup.
The winger enjoyed a breakout game last week with a scintillating double against Newcastle Jets, but Torcaso will still have a number of strong options with the likes of Hannah Keane and Danielle Steer ready to spearhead the attack.
New signing Tiana Jaber comes straight into the 18-player list after completing her signing on an injury replacement deal during the week.
The 22-year-old full-back has adjusted immediately to training and will be eager to see the pitch for the first time in the Green and Black.
Jaber, who will take the No.25 shirt at United, has returned to the Liberty A-League having previously represented Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers.
The remainder of the extended squad remains the same as last week with all of United’s stars remaining fit and ready to play.
Stacey Papadopoulos is continuing to work towards her return while Harriet Withers and Aimee Medwin remain longer-term absentees.
