Mark Torcaso has named his extended squad for Western United’s first ever away trip in the Liberty A-League Women, with the side set to take on Wellington Phoenix on Saturday.
There is one addition to the extended list with Natasha Dakic coming in having made her return to training during the week. The defender will fight for a place in the final 16-player squad for the trip to New Zealand.
Chloe Logarzo played around half an hour in her return to club football and is included in the squad again with the aim of continuing to increase her workload on the pitch.
Fellow midfielder and inaugural captain Jaclyn Sawicki was an unused substitute last week but is continuing her own recovery and will hope to make her Western United debut this weekend.
Tyla Jay Vlajnic is in line to appear in the matchday squad for the first time having missed the opening fixture due to international clearance.
Harriet Withers remains absent but is drawing closer to a return, while Silver Bell Morris is also unavailable with illness.
Torcaso and his players will be out to carry on from last weekend and pick up another positive result to continue gathering momentum at the start of the campaign.
