Western United boss John Aloisi has named his extended squad for the side’s final interstate trip of the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League Men season as the Green and Black takes on Perth Glory in Round 25.
United confirmed the devastating news that Khoder Kaddour suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in Tuesday night’s draw with Adelaide United.
The young right-back comes out of the squad as a result, allowing fellow Western United Academy product Charbel Shamoon to return.
Shamoon has made four appearances this season, including two starts, and will be eager to return to the matchday squad for the first time since late February.
Connor O’Toole will be eying a start after he came off the bench to replace Kaddour on Tuesday, having a tremendous impact with the stoppage time equaliser that clinched the 3-3 draw.
John Aloisi’s squad remains full of young talents, with Abel Walatee again amongst the 20 names after making his Isuzu UTE A-League debut last week.
Luke Vickery and Jordan Lauton are back in the extended list and will be looking to earn an opportunity to feature in Perth.
After Tomoki Imai surpassed Connor Pain to become the Club’s all-time leading appearance maker last week, Lachie Wales will move beyond Pain into outright second place, just one game behind Imai.
