Western United announces trio of Tarneit blockbusters in April

Western United A-League Men Tarneit

The Tarneit community will explode into life in April with three mammoth Western United home matches in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men.

John Aloisi’s side is locked in for its first official game at the Regional Football Facility on Saturday April 6, taking on Macarthur FC at 3:30pm AEDT.

The Green and Black family will then be treated to two matches within four days, starting with a clash against Central Coast Mariners on Saturday 13 April before a blockbuster against Adelaide United on Tuesday 16 April.

Kick-off for the Mariners encounter is set for 3:30pm AEST, while the Adelaide fixture will see the Regional Football Facility in all its glory under lights for the first time, beginning at 7pm AEST.

Tickets will go on sale for the Macarthur match this week, but the football family of the West can already get purchasing with a three-game membership package for just $45 for adults and $18 for kids.

After the Club officially opened the venue last week with the Liberty A-League Women fixture against Newcastle Jets, the men are set to take centre stage for the next slate of matches in Tarneit.

A bumper crowd of over 2,000 people flocked to the Regional Football Facility that Sunday and there are set to be many more for this next major milestone.

On the pitch, that opening game against the Bulls will be full of drama based on previous meetings between the competition’s two newest franchises – look no further than Daniel Penha’s heroics in a thrilling 3-3 draw earlier this season.

The following week will see the Green and Black take on the reigning Champions in Central Coast before Nestory Irankunda and Adelaide’s team of talented youngsters arrives in the West.

Matchday will once again be a festival of fun for the whole family to enjoy with activities for the kids, games and giveaways and the return of the drummers and the fan-favourite Brazilian BBQ.

Heading into the end of the Australian football season, this is the perfect time to take part in the A-Leagues and soak in the atmosphere with Western United.
