Western United would like to thank Besart Berisha for his contribution to the Club, as the experienced striker’s contract has come to an end after two seasons in the west.

Berisha was part of Western United’s foundation A-League squad and has been instrumental in some of the Club’s biggest on-field milestones.

General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato thanks Berisha for his services to the club.

“On behalf of the Western United players, staff, members and partners, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Bes for everything that he has done for the club in its first two seasons,” Impiombato said.

“On the field, Bes played 50 games for the club and scored 26 goals, something he can be extremely proud of. However, off the field it is Bes’ professionalism, dedication and leadership that makes him the champion that he is.

“I wish him all of the best in the next chapter of his playing career.”

Berisha created history for the Green and Black as Western United’s first official goal scorer.

That would be the first of 19 goals scored in the club’s inaugural A-League campaign.

The league’s record goal scorer remained an integral part of the side over two seasons where he was able to secure consecutive Western United golden boot awards.

Western United wish Berisha continued success in his future.
