Western United will give the people of the West the chance to shout out their Community Hero at the Club’s Superhero Round on Saturday 5 April.
Entries are open for anyone to nominate a special person that helps knit the community together.
As the saying goes, not all heroes wear capes and our Community Heroes can be anyone – from the incredible volunteers at junior clubs, to the school teachers shaping the next generation or the shop workers that keep our community going.
The strength of Western United is entirely built on its people, the aspirational people of the West that represent the passion, love and care of our region.
Nominate your Community Hero now
Now, the Club is proud to recognise the very best of our community with this unique initiative, celebrating the individuals and also giving them an unforgettable matchday experience.
Each Community Hero submission will be judged by a panel of Western United staff with three lucky winners selected as the ultimate heroes.
Those three winners will receive two tickets to the match – one for themselves and a guest – with seating and access to free food and drinks at the Terrace Bar in the Pavilion.
On top of that, the three legends will be presented on the pitch in front of the entire crowd at half-time of the game and celebrated for their impact on the community.
Superhero Round at Ironbark Fields will be taking place in support of the Good Friday Appeal and the incredible, life-saving work done by the Royal Children’s Hospital each and every day.
The Western United donation page has already surpassed $1,600 raised, while fans can also contribute by purchasing a third kit online or on matchday from the beginning of April right up until Good Friday.
