Western United calls on every junior footballer in the West to become a member

Western United membership We Are West

Western United is calling on every young girl and boy that plays football in the western suburbs to Bleed Green and become a Western United member for the 2024/25 A-Leagues season, launching the We Are West Program.

With memberships now on sale, each new member will be able to select their local club and a variety of rewards will be on offer to clubs when they reach certain totals of signed up members.

These rewards will be particularly tailored to supporting the club’s operations in the community, whether that be cash prizes, training equipment or special experiences for their members with exclusive visits from Western United players and coaches.

The clubs are the heartbeat of the community and through this promotion and as a relatively new member of the football family in the area, Western United would love to show our appreciation and give back to those clubs, without which we could not do what we do.

Western United Director of Football Steve Horvat said uniting the community in the West was at the forefront for the Club, and that this initiative would be the perfect way to do so.

“We have over 70 junior clubs combining almost 20,000 players here in the West, and we want to inspire them all to become Western United fans,” he said.

“With our first full season at home in Tarneit coming up, we are all committed to uniting the football family in the West. We can’t wait to see all of the future Socceroos and Matildas in our region coming out to support our teams at Ironbark Fields.

“This program is just on of the ways that we’ll connect with the clubs in the region, rewarding the clubs that support us and continuing to work alongside them in the community.”

The best bit, of course, is that every signed-up member will be able to watch elite A-Leagues football right in the heart of the West as Western United prepares for a full season at Ironbark Fields in Tarneit.

Reserved seat memberships start from just $100 for the season with A-League Women admission for only $38 across the entire campaign, equating to over 20 matches of football in total.

As 2024/25 looks to be Western United’s biggest and best season to date, it’s time for the West to Bleed Green and for everyone to come together to create a magical season at Ironbark Fields.
