Western United calls on kids of the West to kick off ALM season

Western United Ballarat

Western United today announced that kids will get free entry to the first three Isuzu UTE A-League Men home matches in Ballarat this season, encouraging all football and sporting families in the west to join in the family fun of matchday.

The boys in green will play their first three home matches for the 2023/24 season at Mars Stadium, a place they have called home since the beginning of their young journey.

Ballarat will host matches against Newcastle Jets, Adelaide United and Wellington Phoenix in consecutive weeks from mid-November to early December and will give the fans the first glimpse of Aloisi’s fresh new squad including Daniel Penha, Riku Danzaki and Angus Thurgate.

Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis was grateful for the Ballarat community’s support and excited to be taking matches back to the region:

“With such a strong football community in Ballarat we want to use these home matches to bring everyone together and unite all levels of football.

“We recently hosted the Western United Cup, our girls and women three-day tournament, at Morshead Park and we absolutely loved the passion for football and enthusiasm people in the region have for our great game.

“The City of Ballarat, local football clubs and schools in the region have been significant supporters of the Club from the very first season and we want even more locals to get on board the Green and Black this A-Leagues season.

“We really want everyone to rally together and get behind John and the boys at these games, let’s show Australia how much we’ve grown and how important football is to the community of Ballarat.”

Kids aged 16 and under can get free entry to these matches by registering for a Liberty Pass, which already gets them free entry to all A-League Women matches.  This means the kids will get to go and see the A-League Men at Mars Stadium for free and they’ll also get free entry to all the A-League Women matches which will be hosted at City Vista, Fraser Rise before heading home to Tarneit later in the season.

Parents simply need to register their kid/s for the 2023/24 Liberty Pass at https://aleagues.com.au/more/2023-24-liberty-a-league-pass/ and select Western United as the favourite A-League team. The kids will receive a digital pass within a few days, then simply scan the ticket at the Mars Stadium gate to gain the free entry.

Adult memberships start at just $75 and are available at wufcmembership.com.au. Tickets for the Ballarat and City Vista matches are now available for purchase at ticketek.com.au.
