Western United has set its Liberty A-League Women goalkeeper union, confirming the re-signings of Alyssa Dall’Oste and Natalie Picak for the 2024/25 season.
A foundation player, Dall’Oste seized a starting role for parts of last term, amassing eight appearances in total.
Picak joined United last season after winning the NPLW Victoria Goalkeeper of the Year award and attending a Young Matildas training camp in August 2023.

Both products of Calder United having developed their games in the West, Dall’Oste and Picak return alongside new signing Chloe Lincoln and are eager for the next steps this season.
“This is going to be a big year for us as a team building on what we did last season. It wasn’t the ending that we all wanted, but that is going to drive us to push that extra bit to take it all the way this season,” Dall’Oste said.
“Having a taste of what it’s like at Ironbark last season was exciting. The atmosphere the fans created was electric and we could all feel the difference. I wait to feel that all season long.”
Picak added:
“I’m honoured to return to Western United. I cannot wait to improve my skills and continue to increase my experience and knowledge of the game.
“Working with Tony (Belica) and a group of experience goalkeepers, I’m determined to keep developing my skills and I’m confident I’ll improve significantly.”
Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato praised United’s goalkeeper room as one of the most talented and promising with this pair of renewals.
“Alyssa and Nat have both developed and grown in the West and we are extremely pleased to continue to give them opportunities to progress in our pathway,” he said.
“With Chloe Lincoln coming in alongside our two existing players, we are delighted to have three talented young goalkeepers to help led our team this season.”
Dall’Oste and Picak have both featured for Calder United again in 2024 and will be hoping to return to pre-season training in top shape.
Pre-season will get underway at Ironbark Fields in the coming weeks as Kat Smith hopes to lead her side back to the finals and towards contention for silverware this season.
