Western United is proud to launch the fourth iteration of the Western United Cup with registrations now open for this year’s tournament.
Slated for Friday 3 October to Sunday 5 October in 2025, the girls-only tournament in Ballarat has become a staple on the Victorian football calendar in the last three years.
Year on year, United has grown the tournament to record heights with last season seeing an incredible near-100 team registrations and a second venue required at Trekardo Park alongside Morshead Park.

An incredible event promoting women’s and girls’ football, the Western United Cup turns Ballarat into a hive of activity and community for the weekend.
Thousands of people come together to play and celebrate with food trucks, fun games and activations creating a festival-like atmosphere alongside the match action.
Open for girls from Under 8’s all the way to Youth Women, the competitions are fiercely contested and medals and trophies craved at the end of the weekend.
Western United Community Development Coordinator Adrian Cannatelli is already counting down the days until the tournament kicks off.
“We were absolutely blown away by the participation and atmosphere at last year’s Western United Cup and we can’t wait to come back in 2025,” he said.
“After also successful launching our inaugural Geelong tournament earlier this year, we are ready for more records to be broken and more amazing experiences to be had for everyone involved.
“Everyone at the Club is looking forward to connecting with our Ballarat family once again, and equally to seeing the fantastic spirit on display from everyone at the tournament.”
As always, the Western United Cup is made possible by the support of the City of Ballarat, the State Government of Victoria and Australian Football Skool.
