Western United went down in a seven-goal thriller with Adelaide United at VU Whitten Oval on Sunday.
The Reds lead 3-1 after just 18 minutes, thanks to a Nikola Mileusnic brace and a Riley McGree strike.
200-gamer Besart Berisha nabbed his brace himself, scoring his second to bring it back to 3-2 just before half-time.
The Green and Black completed their comeback after the interval through a stunning Alessandro Diamanti goal – the Italian’s fourth this campaign.
The Reds found a way through, however, retaking the lead after Nathan Konstandopoulos’ strike left Filip Kurto with little chance.
