Western United extends partnership with Australian Teqball Federation to bring Teqball to Melbourne’s West

Teqball, played on a curved table with football skills and technique, has been gaining popularity worldwide. With this ongoing partnership, Western United will continue introducing Teqball to the community, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in this exciting sport.

Through the 2023-24 A-Leagues season, Western United gave the chance for local clubs to win their own Teqball table with Ballarat Soccer Club, Melton Phoenix Soccer Club and Point Cook Soccer Club the lucky recipients. The Club will look to provide similar opportunities in the 2024-25 A-Leagues season alongside existing matchday exposure where fans can play Teqball in our F fan zone.

President of Australian Teqball Federation, Jarred Bester said “The Australian Teqball Federation (ATF) is extremely pleased to extend the partnership with Western United FC beyond the current 23/24 season. We are delighted to be supporting the exposure and growth of the game in Melbourne’s West with an organisation that is as dedicated to Community & Diversity engagement as WUFC. We thank the club for their championing of our Sport and our Organisation and we look forward to the future success of our collaborative efforts”,

The Club will look for further opportunities to collaborate with the Federation and the local community to grow the sport, supporting the Federation’s ambition of being an Olympic sport at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. To learn more about Teqball check out https://www.teqball.au/
